D'ni (pronounced dunNEE) is a civilization that lives in a underground cave system and has the ability to write books that will link to other lands. Once from a land called Garternay, impending doom caused the citizens to write new ages to escape to. Some people went to D'ni and others went to Terahnee. The original D'ni civilization was destroyed by Veovis and A'Gaeris. Atrus, the main character of the Myst series, is one quarter D'ni.
