The Great Golden Dome was a large circular dome built on Temple Island in the age of Riven. It was the central power soure that powered the domes that in turn powered Gehn's makeshift linking books in all 5 islands.
The circumference of the Dome had a D'ni text saying "rezu tso dovamet kenen fash" (the end of this world is near).[1]
The interior of the Dome
The interior housed a huge boiler-like mechanism and a circular catwalk along its walls; the lower catwalk exits to a ledge. From the boiler 5 pipes ran out, dropping into sea and rising ashore to each island's Dome.
