A King of D'ni.
Born in 2704, Needrah was the fourth son of King Hinash. His mother died giving birth to him. He was a member of the Minor Guild of Sculptors and was excellent friends with Lahkeer, who was a member at the same time.
Needrah, who like his father had always been a proud supporter of cave expansion, took the throne in 2779 at the age of 75 and made it his mission to make the D'ni people feel the same way. Needrah's three older brothers were very close to him, and took the role of his closest advisers. Because of their positions as Guild Masters of the Miners, the Stone Masons, and the Architects, each ended up having a great affect on his accomplishments.
It was not only his persuasive speeches or motivational abilities that pushed the expansions, but also the fantastic skill and talent of Lahkeer. In 2807 he commissioned the design for a monument to the discovery of the Book of Birenni, the chance Lahkeer needed to prove his skill to the public.
After that, Lahkeer, Needrah and his brother presented a plan for a new residential district. From that point on, expansion could not stop for any reason; throughout the 221 years of Needrah's reign four new districts were begun including Jaren, Kaleh, Kali and the Nehw'eril District.
